Chicken with Butter Ponzu

Ingredients

  • 300 g Chicken thigh
  • 80 g Shimeji mushrooms
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • a pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Potato starch
  • 2 tbsp Ponzu
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 5 g Butter
  • as needed Black pepper (optional)
  • as needed Chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

    Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.

    Rub in the marinade ingredients.

  3. 3

    Trim off the base of the shimeji mushrooms and separate them.

  4. 4

    Heat the oil in a pan and cook the chicken skin-side down.

  5. 5

    Once browned, flip the chicken, add the shimeji mushrooms.

  6. 6

    When everything is cooked through, add the sauce ingredients.

    Simmer lightly, then add your favorite toppings.
