By using Cooking Together, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. User Accounts
- You must be 13 years or older to use this app
- You are responsible for your account security
- One account per person
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
3. User Content
- You retain rights to your recipes, posts, and Bites (short-form cooking videos)
- You grant us a license to display your content within the app
- Don't post illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content
- We may remove content that violates these terms
- You are responsible for the content you post, including cooking videos (Bites)
- Private tags you create for organizing recipes are stored in your account and visible only to you
- Bites (short-form videos) are public by default and may appear in feeds of other users
4. Community Guidelines
- Be respectful to other users
- No spam, harassment, or hate speech
- No misleading health or nutrition claims
- Report violations to our team
- Repeated violations may result in account suspension
5. Intellectual Property
- App design and code are our property
- Recipe content belongs to its creators
- Don't scrape or copy content without permission
- Respect copyright and trademark laws
6. Disclaimers
- Recipes are user-submitted and not professionally verified
- Always check ingredients for allergens
- We are not responsible for cooking outcomes
- Consult a professional for dietary or health advice
- Use your own judgment when following recipes
7. Premium Features and Subscriptions
- Premium subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play
- Two plans available: Monthly ($5.90/month) and Annual ($59.90/year)
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings (App Store or Google Play)
- No refunds for partial subscription periods; refunds are handled by the respective store
- Subscription terms are governed by the respective store's policies
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
10. AI and Third-Party Services
- Recipe import (URL, text, and photo) uses Google Gemini AI to extract recipe data
- Photo-based recipe import sends images to Google Gemini AI for real-time processing
- Images submitted for recipe import are processed in real-time and are not stored by our service
- Camera and photo library access are used solely for recipe photo import and Bite creation functionality
- AI-generated content (nutrition analysis, recipe scaling, ingredient alternatives) is estimated and may not be fully accurate
- Cook AI features (AI recipe search, recipe Q&A, and recipe modifications) use Google Gemini AI to process your recipe data and natural language queries
- Recipe data (titles, ingredients, steps) and your taste profile (derived from likes, ratings, and cooking activity) are sent to Google Gemini AI for personalized Cook AI results
- Your taste profile is used solely to improve AI recommendations and is not shared with other users
- AI conversation sessions are automatically deleted after 7 days
- All AI-related data is permanently deleted when you delete your account
- AI Recipe Extraction from Bites (premium feature) analyzes your cooking video caption and text overlays to generate a structured recipe using Google Gemini AI
- Third-party AI processing is subject to Google's terms of service and data processing agreement
11. AI Chef Accounts
- Cooking Together includes AI Chef accounts: fictional cooking personas powered by generative AI that publish recipes, posts, stories, and other cooking content alongside content from real users.
- AI Chef accounts are clearly identified by an "AI Chef" badge displayed next to their name throughout the app — in feeds, profiles, search results, comments, and notifications.
- All content authored by AI Chef accounts (recipe text, post text, story text, and accompanying food images) is generated by AI models (Google Gemini for text, Google Imagen for images) and is not created by, sourced from, or reviewed by individual human authors who exist in the real world. AI Chef personas, names, locations, and stories are fictional.
- AI Chef content is generated, reviewed, and curated by our team before being published. We aim for high-quality, accurate, and safe recipes, but as with any AI-generated content it may contain inaccuracies, unconventional combinations, or culturally imperfect details — always use your judgment when cooking.
- AI Chef content is not derived from your personal data, recipes, or activity. AI Chefs generate content from their persona definition and general culinary knowledge, not from individual user data.
- You may follow, unfollow, like, comment on, and bookmark AI Chef content the same way you interact with content from real users. Interactions you have with AI Chef content (likes, bookmarks, ratings, etc.) are stored alongside your other activity.
- Older versions of the app that pre-date the AI Chef feature may not display the AI Chef badge. To see the badge and the full transparency UI, update to the latest version.
- By using the app you acknowledge that some content shown in feeds, search, recommendations, and communities is AI-generated, and that you can identify AI-generated content by the AI Chef badge (or by these Terms, in older app versions).
