Ingredients

  • 1.5 chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp rice wine
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon pepper
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp rice wine
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • 2 tsp water
  • thinly sliced green onion (optional)
  • sesame seed (optional)

8 steps

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, place the chicken wings and mix in your rice wine and drain the excess rice wine out.

  2. 2

Shake off the liquid from the wings and place them into a clean bowl.

  3. 3

Add onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, lemon pepper, and black pepper and mix evenly.

  4. 4

Spray cooking oil onto the air fryer basket. Put your chicken into the airfrier and cook at 400F for 15-20 mins, flipping them halway through. The chicken wings should come out golden brown.

  5. 5

In a pan, put in your soy sauce, water, rice wine, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper. Bring it to boil and keep stirring over medium/low heat.

  6. 6

In a bowl, mix together your corn starch and water. Pour it over the sauce and keep stirring for around 2 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glaze.

  7. 7

Once the chicken is cooked, coat the chicken with your sauce using a basting brush.

  8. 8

Top the chicken with sesame seeds and green onion. Enjoy!
