  • 300 g ground chicken
  • 1/2 Japanese long green onion (negi), finely chopped (or 1/2 small onion)
  • 1 egg
  • 1–1½ tbsp potato starch
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

    Season the ground chicken with salt and pepper.

    Add chopped green onion, grated ginger, egg, and potato starch. Mix well until combined.

    Shape into meatballs.
