Air Fryer Crispy Broccoli with Cheese

This recipe is for fresh broccoli. If using frozen broccoli add about 1 minute of cooking time,The fresh broccoli will cook down and shrink, so if the basket feels full at first, there will be about 2/3rds the amount after it shrinks. Try adding different cheeses like pepper jack, parmesan, feta or goat cheese. This dish will never be boring!

  • 1 pound broccoli (, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil (, approximately)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt (, to taste)
  • black pepper (, to taste)
  • 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese (, or cheese of preference)

    Cut the fresh broccoli into even bite sized pieces.

    Add the broccoli to a large bowl. Coat the broccoli with oil. Season broccoli with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

    Add the raw broccoli to the air fryer basket or rack. Air Fry 380°F/193°C for 10 minutes then flip, turn or shake halfway through cooking (about 5 minutes) to ensure that the broccoli cooks evenly.

    Cooking times will vary depending on the size of your broccoli and size/power of your air fryer.

    If you like your broccoli more crispy, add additional 1-2 minutes of air frying time.

    Add cheese on top of broccoli and cook for about 1 minute, or until cheese is melted.

    After cheese has melted, transfer to a bowl or you can eat it straight out of the air fryer!
